WHO IS HENRY GLENN?
Co-Founder of Finca Bamboo in Cuervito de Pavones Costa Rica, Henry Glenn is a Bamboo Educator, Innovator, and Promoter of Bamboo Culture. One of his passions is making bamboo a viable, accessible resource for all.
For over 20 years, Henry has studied and cultivated more than 100 species of bamboo and has experience in growing, harvesting, treating, managing, and creating bamboo structures, accessories for daily living, tools, and food.
Most recently, Finca Bamboo partnered with a Costa Rican Organic Chemical Company to produce Henry's formula for treating bamboo, which will create an industry standard for bamboo as a consistently dependable, reliable, quality construction material.
In a continuous Earth preservation effort, Henry Glenn and the team at Finca Bamboo have also refined various bamboo treatment systems based on location and application that are ecologically friendly and cost efficient.
Henry’s most exciting work to date and his true passion is building within living bamboo clumps, a truly regenerative practice. His system has evolved to make it possible to create a permanent dwelling within a living bamboo clump, and also act as a platform from which to more easily harvest and extract poles for conventional bamboo construction.

In this 7 day workshop Henry Glenn of Finca Bamboo in Cuervito de Pavones, Costa Costa will be sharing his passion for bamboo and more specifically building in living bamboo with an innovative floating joist system that allows for truly regenerative construction.
Henry started 3 years ago developing this system, which has evolved to make it possible to create a permanent dwelling within a living bamboo clump. These structures also act as a platform from which to more easily harvest and extract poles for conventional bamboo construction.
This workshop includes classes on a variety of fun and practical bamboo projects; different methods for harvesting and treating bamboo, and bamboo as food and cooking in bamboo (a speciality of Henry's) and...
Assisting Henry for this workshop is Joseph Mikrut who will be sharing his knowledge of sacred geometry in building.
Daily Yoga & Qigong practices will be shared at sunset.
FOOD will be mostly vegetarian and cooked in bamboo.
Our Chef Alex Skeate will work his magic in the kitchen.

WHO IS JOSEPH MIKRUT?
Joseph is a naturopath specializing in vibrational medicine, a philosopher and natural building enthusiast. He loves building unique structures using eco friendly materials.
He helped start Anamaya Resort and Retreat Center and Rancho Delicioso Permaculture Farm Community and retreat center where he now lives. His Sacred Geome-tree House at Rancho Delicioso has been featured on Treehouse Masters. He is also one of the Domegaia teachers and has been involved with several Aircrete dome building workshops.
This year, Joseph built a 4 story living bamboo house on his property with the expert help of his good friend Henry and his innovative joist system. Joseph will be teaching a class Sacred Geometry and Resonance applied to construction during this retreat, and is super excited to be part of this workshop!

Chef Alex Skeate, a talented cook with diverse culinary education and experience, will be holding down the kitchen for this upcoming workshop!
